Courtney McDonald is interested in people, libraries, technology, and especially in all three at once. Currently she is the Learner Experience & Engagement Librarian and Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries. Previously, she held positions at Indiana University Bloomington Libraries, DePaul University Libraries, and the University of Illinois at Chicago Richard J Daley Library. Her second book, Putting the User First: 30 Strategies for Transforming Library Services (ACRL, 2014), was published in August 2014. She earned her Master of Library Science degree, as well as a BA in English and Journalism, from Indiana University-Bloomington, and holds a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University in Chicago.
